Boxology® Beginner

An exhaustive guide to boxing from the history of the sport, anatomy/physiology,injury prevention to the correct way to coach and hold pads. This is an excellent course for anyone who wants to teach correct basic boxing skills including footwork and combinations.You will learn how to hold pads for clients whilst maintaining healthy joints and muscles so that no injuries occur to both parties. Learn how to wrap your clients hands effectively so they don’t get injured. Learn appropriate warm up and cooldown techniques. Learn communication skills and how to determine different ways of teaching. This course is designed to have a wide appeal and is suitable for everyone from amateur boxers to professional boxers, martial artists to fitness boxers, sports coaches to personal trainers wanting to integrate boxing into their teaching practice. Boxology® Beginner is a two-day practical course, with an online pre-requisite exam,an ongoing assessment throughout the course and a practical exam at the end. At the end of this course you will be able to teach a basic boxing session to a client safely and effectively. The learner should be able to demonstrate the ability to hold pads, teach basic boxing skills correctly and have an understanding on safety of their client.

 

Boxology® Intermediate

Boxology® Intermediate is a more advanced guide to boxing. This is an excellent course for anyone who wants to teach more advanced pad work with clients whilst maintaining healthy joints and muscles so that no injuries occur to both parties. You will gain a deeper understanding of more advanced boxing techniques and training including defence work, body punching and advanced footwork. You will also be taught how to teach a class to a group, how to manage a class with people at different levels, how to teach without reducing confidence of an individual and how to help people who feel uncomfortable in a group situation. Boxology® Intermediate is a two-day practical course, with an ongoing assessment throughout the course and a practical exam at the end. You will also have to log 10hours of teaching classes and one on one sessions after the course. At the end of this course you will be able to teach a more advanced boxing session to a client safely and effectively and teach a group boxing class. The learner should be able to demonstrate the ability to hold pads with a client and manage a group boxing session effectively.
